Congratulations to Gabriela Schiapacasse for successfully defending her PhD Dissertation titled “Terror, trauma, horror y abyección en las novelas de Giovanna Rivero, Julio Ortega y Oscar Colchado Lucio”. The thesis explores social violence, repression and the fantastic figures arising from political terror in the Andean region, specifically Bolivia and Perú. The dissertation committee was composed by Dr. Juan Duchesne and Dr. Serena Rivera (co-chairs), Dr. Ekaterina Kagan (external reader), and Dr. David Tenorio. Congratulations to Dr. Schiapacasse!
