Christopher Alan Cannon

Born and raised in Cleveland, Ohio; Christopher is a teaching fellow at the University of Pittsburgh. His work is centered around the roles of ghosts, the undead, folklore, postmemory, and decolonization in African diasporic and indigenous communities. He is a multi-published poet and journalist who enjoys creating music and visuals in his spare time.

Areas of Specialization

His research focuses on the retention of indigenous American and African diaspora identities via the folkloric traditions of ghosts, spirits, hauntings, and ancestral worship.
