Spanish Writing Center
Department of Hispanic Languages & Literatures
The Hispanic Languages & Literatures Department hosts the Spanish Writing Center, which provides individual and small-group instruction in all forms of oral and written communication. The Writing Center mission is to offer tutoring services to help you develop your language skills in a wide range of topics: from grammar and vocabulary to pronunciation and speaking skills. In addition, the Writing Center assists students on issues of content, organization and structure when writing in Spanish. Students should not expect the tutor to proofread their compositions or essays.
The Writing Center offers a series of SPANISH LANGUAGE CLINICS to anyone interested in meeting for extra instruction or for remedial work to help you perform better in your Spanish classes. The clinics are aimed to strengthen your Spanish grammar foundation, increase your confidence in the language and meet other students learning Spanish in our department. The clinics cover a range of topics (grammar, writing and pronunciation clinics) and are targeted to different groups of students (beginners, intermediate and advanced students). Our clinics are live interactive 60-90 minutes sessions on Zoom and they will be announced on our page during the course of the semester. Check here:
The tutor of this semester is Nayra Ramírez (email@example.com) and she will be available during the walk-in hours.
**Please note that the Spanish Writing Center will take place in room CL 1219 on Mondays and Tuesdays, and via Zoom Wednesdays and Thursdays. If you cannot enter the room, please knock and Nayra Ramírez will let you in. The Zoom information can be found below**
