Irene Soto-Lucena

I am a first-year student in the doctorate program at the department of Linguistics. Before moving to the US, I earned my bachelor's degree in English Linguistics and Literature at the university of Seville (Spain), and completed a 1-year grad program in TEFL. I moved to Ohio in 2015, where I earned a master's degree in Spanish literature and linguistics in the Department of Modern Languages at Ohio University. Afterwards, I also graduated from a master's degree in applied linguistics at OU. There, I worked as a teaching associate of Spanish for 4 years. Additionally, I have worked for the English Language Improvement Program of Ohio University as a tutor for their graduate reading & writing lab, as well as for their pronunciation & presentation lab. I love teaching, and helping others learn my native language is one of my passions (along with animals, listening to music, dancing and going to shows, biking, and eating!). H2P.
