Biography

Prof. Monasterios is co-editor of the Bolivian Studies Journal, Contributing Editor for the Handbook of Latin American Studies (Library of Congress), and has served as contributor and/or section coordinator for the Literary Cultures of Latin America. A Comparative History (Oxford University Press, 2004),  A Companion to Latin American Literature and Culture (Blackwell Publishing, 2008), and A Historical Companion to Postcolonial Literatures in Continental Europe and its Empires (Edinburgh University Press, 2008).  She is also a founding member of JALLA (Jornadas Andinas de Literatura Latinoamericana), and invited faculty for the Postgrado en Literatura Latinoamericana at the Universidad Mayor de San Andrés.
