The International Institute of Latin American Literature (IILI)
IILI was founded in 1938 in Mexico City as an attempt of reaffirm Hispanic unity in the midst of the Spanish Civil War. The IILI has been dedicated to creating an international awareness of Latin American literature, culture, and criticism through its conferences, Revista Iberoamericana, and its publishing lines. Illuminations
Featuring cutting-edge books on Latin American and inter-American societies, histories, and cultures that offer new perspectives from postcolonial, subaltern, feminist, and cultural studies, this series takes its inspiration from the idea of the illumination, which the critic Walter Benjamin famously defined as "that image of the past which unexpectedly appears to someone singled out by history at a moment of danger." Osamayor
This journal is published by graduate students in the Department of Hispanic Languages and Literatures. The journal selects exceptional works of prose, poetry, and research for publication, including papers submitted from other universities as well as the work of students in the department. In addition to providing a forum for student publications, the journal provides an opportunity for graduate students to gain valuable editorial and production experience. Variaciones Borges
Variaciones Borges is a journal of philosophy, semiotics and literature, published twice a year in Spanish, English, and French by The University of Pittsburgh. Bolivian Studies Journal
The University of Pittsburgh is pleased to announce that it has taken over the publication of the Bolivian Studies Journal, a journal on Bolivian studies published in the United States. Founded in 1990, the journal was published by the University of Akron until 2000 and by the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign until 2008. Beginning in 2009, the Center for Latin American Studies, the Hillman Library, the Department of Hispanic Languages and Literatures and its Center for the Study of Latin American Literatures will collaborate in the publishing of this important annual journal.
Under the University of Pittsburgh's editorship, the BSJ will be physically re-designed and intellectually re-conceptualized to meet the challenges that Bolivia is facing in the new millennium. The BSJ will publish articles in Spanish, English, and native languages. Articles will be peer-reviewed prior to acceptance for publication and will contain original work by scholars, writers, cultural activists, students, and artistsfrom around the world addressing cutting edge issues in social, political, and cultural matters related to Bolivia. The journal will also include book reviews, documents, original literary works and bibliographic citations of recent works on Bolivian studies.

La Universidad de Pittsburgh tiene el agrado de anunciar que ha tomado a su cargo la publicación del Bolivian Studies Journal, revista de estudios bolivianos publicada en Estados Unidos. Fundada en 1990, la revista fue publicada en la Universidad de Akron hasta el año 2000 y por la Universidad de Illinois en Urbana-Champaign hasta el 2008. A partir de 2009 el Centro de Estudios Latinoamericanos, la Biblioteca Hillman, el Departamento de Lenguas y Literaturas Hispánicas y su Centro de Estudios de Literaturas Latinoamericanas, colaborarán en la publicación de esta importante revista anual.
Bajo la supervisión editorial de la Universidad de Pittsburgh, la revista será físicamente rediseñada e intelectualmente re-conceptualizada para abordar los desafíos que Bolivia está enfrentando en el nuevo milenio. La revista publicará en español, inglés y lenguas nativas, trabajos originales de académicos, escritores, activistas culturales, estudiantes y artistas dedicados al estudio de los distintos procesos sociales, políticos y culturales bolivianos. Antes de su aceptación para publicación, los trabajos sometidos serán revisados por especialistas. La revista incluirá reseñas de libros, documentos, trabajos literarios inéditos e información bibliográfica sobre publicaciones recientes.
