Maria Dayana Fraile

Biography

In 2009, she was awarded a fellowship from the Iberoamerican Society for Friends of Books and Publishing and from the Carolina Foundation in Spain to participate in the "10th Annual Course for Young Latin American Editors." This intensive seminar was conducted at the Complutense University of Madrid and at the Menéndez Pelayo International University in Santander.

Her short story "Evocation and Elegy for Federico Alvarado Muñoz: Three Years After His Death" won First Prize in the Policlínica Metropolitana Contest for Young Writers (2012), one of the most prestigious fiction awards for writers under the age of 40 in Venezuela.
