Daniel was born in Ibagué, Colombia. While completing his MA at the Université de Montréal, he worked as coordinator in the Centre de ressources de l’espagnol (Spanish Resources Center). In his MA thesis, he analyzed the articulation of the subversive nature of the discourse in Fernando Vallejo’s La Virgen de los sicarios (Our Lady of the Assassins).
