The eighteen studies in this issue are dedicated to the critical analysis of the works of Octavio Paz, the Mexican poet. The articles analyze various aspects of his poetry within the Latin American literary canon as well as internationally. The "Documentos" section reproduces six letters by Carlos Fuentes to Octavio Paz and also includes a bibliography about Paz. Contributors to this issue include Julio Cortázar, Ramón Xirau, Enrique Rodríguez Monegal, Guillermo Sucre, Saúl Yurkievich, José Emilio Pacheco, Jean Franco, Luis Leal and Emil Volek, among others.
